Claims Valuation & Litigation Support
Kristin Matthews is active in all areas of the Claims Valuation & Litigation Support group of Soberman LLP. Kristin specializes in loss quantification for insurance and litigation claims in both a personal injury and a commercial context.
Kristin’s work experience includes review and analysis of small and large business documentation, interviews with relevant parties in a claim and assessment of the validity of documents presented for claims purposes.
Previously, Kristin worked with an international accounting firm where she focused on dispute analysis and assisted with forensic investigations. She also worked with a large insurance company where she led the development and implementation of a claims billings and reimbursement system for the company’s global claims services.
In the community, Kristin was appointed by the Government of Canada to serve a four year term on the board of directors of Parc Downsview Park Inc., an agent Crown corporation, which is mandated to manage and develop Downsview Park, a unique urban park and recreational green space in Toronto. Kristin also serves on the audit committee and the budget and operations committee for PDP Inc.
Kristin is a graduate of Queen’s University, where she received a degree in Sociology with a focus on Criminology. Kristin has also completed the post-graduate Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
