Lisa Piebalgs is active in all areas of the Claims Valuation & Litigation Support group of Soberman LLP. Lisa performs loss quantification calculations and analysis for insurance and litigation claims.
Before joining Soberman, Lisa worked in private industry, in the consulting, financial and real estate sectors, as a controller, senior financial administrator and accounting supervisor. Lisa’s previous work experience includes carrying out extensive research and analysis of complex data, identifying key findings and presenting the issues.
Lisa is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where she received an Honours degree in Accounting and Economics. She attained her CMA designation in 1991 through the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and has obtained her Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (DIFA) program at Rotman School of Management where she finished in the top 10 percentile of her class. Since November 2007, Lisa has marked the Loss Quantification Advanced and the Loss Quantification Introductory courses for the DIFA program.
In 2008, Lisa was recognized as an Advanced Communicator Gold for participation in the Toastmasters International communication program, the program’s highest award. This commitment to excellence in communication is applied in all facets of life and is demonstrated in the advice Lisa provides to clients.
